Plans, billing & cancellation
Last updated 15 August 2026
ArtistHQ has a Free tier and two paid tiers, Plus and Pro. You run your whole band on any of them — paid plans mostly lift the volume limits and add a handful of pro tools.
The plans
You get every core module on all three tiers, plus the parts most bands lean on: income and member splits, receipts, per-module CSV export (via Settings → Export Data), and CSV import — all free on Free.
What paid plans add is mostly headroom: Free caps how many shows, contacts, products, releases, and how much document storage you can keep, and Plus and Pro raise or remove those caps. A few advanced tools are Plus and up: tour grouping and Tour P&L reports, budgets and forecasting, the merch count-sheet, the royalty CSV export, withholding-tax reclaim, and the Band Bank CSV export.
How billing works
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance. Annual works out to roughly 17% cheaper than paying month to month — there's a Monthly / Annual toggle on the upgrade cards, so you can compare before you pick.
Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle charges your card, handles tax and VAT for your country, and issues the invoice and receipt — so your billing documents come from Paddle, not from us — and you'll accept their buyer terms at checkout.
Changing your plan
Everything lives under Settings → Subscription, which also shows your current plan and resource usage.
Only owners and admins can change the plan or open the billing portal. Other roles still see the plan and the usage meters, but those buttons are read-only for them.
- Upgrade — pick Plus or Pro and Monthly or Annual, then check out in-page.
- Manage Subscription — opens the Paddle billing portal (in a new tab) to update your card, switch interval, or cancel.
- Cancel — you keep paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for; nothing is charged again. Until then the plan badge reads "Cancels" with the date.
If a payment fails
When a renewal charge doesn't go through, your plan shows a Payment past due flag on Settings → Subscription. Open Manage Subscription, update your card in the Paddle portal, and once the payment clears the flag clears too — no interruption to your workspace.
Refunds and your data
EU/UK customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal; see our Refund Policy for the details, and email hello@artisthq.app for anything billing-related we can't sort in-app.
Cancelling doesn't erase anything — your data stays put on Free (within the tier's limits). If you want to take it with you or close the account, see Exporting & deleting your data.
